Hey everyone, The Lord has just presented God Taught Me Ministries with a great opportunity to preach the gospel on radio station WSTS 100.9 The Cross in North Carolina. WSTS reaches both North and South Carolina with the gospel of Jesus Christ and can also be heard all over the world through live streaming over the Internet.
Would you pray for the Lord’s leading for Pastor Chris? Ask God to provide Pastor Chris with the words that would encourage people to live a life for God’s glory and also pray for God’s provisions for this radio ministry. We are very excited and look forward to serving God through this new door He has just opened!
Sincerely, Tom Carty director of Radio Operations and thanks in advance for all your support and prayers!
God wants us to know His will, His ways and His plans. But how when somethings are not as clear, like renting or selling a home? Well simply by asking, seeking and searching in prayer until God let’s you know.
Recently I had a home I had to rent and I wasn’t sure if God wanted me to sell it or rent it. So what did I do? Prayed, and prayed some more! I asked Him to reveal His will for the home.
Then I traveled out of state to work on that house and on the last day I was there, when I was ready to head back to NJ and I am talking when I am in the driveway, packed headed home! I got the news that the home was rented! That a couple was actually sitting with the realtor singing contracts!
Ask and He’ll show you!
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7:8 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me how to know and live in the center of Your will! Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
The secret service is just that, a service. They were developed, designed and trained to protect the President 24/7. And if your a child of God you have a service protecting you as well, except it’s no secret because it’s found within the pages of the bible.
The bible tells us that wisdom is supreme and in all your pursuits don’t dare leave out the pursuit of wisdom. Why? Because God knows what your up against. That’s why He developed, designed and trained wisdom to protect you 24/7!
So got any wisdom? If so you got protection!
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
Proverbs 4:6 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me how to be wise and how to obtain wisdom. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
One thing I’ll never hear, “I don’t know?” No sir, not with God anyway, He knows everything! So when you go to Him don’t worry, for He knows the answer.
God understands the way to it
and he alone knows where it dwells,
Job 28:23 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me to understand You know all things so I don’t have to worry anymore. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
7During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.
Hebrews 5:7 (NIV)
He was heard because of His reverent submission! In other words because of His respect for the Father, Jesus was heard every time.
It may be 2010 and respect may be hard to find these days. But I can tell you this, If you learn to fear God, to respect Him and to reverence His holy name. You too will be heard!
There’s nothing more powerful for your prayer life than respect for the Lord, it worked for Jesus and it’ll work for you!
“Lord, teach me how to respect You like Jesus did. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
Every time we say, “I know what I am doing!” , usually that leads us into trouble. Time and time again when we lean on our own understanding, when we know how to fix our marriages, our children, our finances without asking God for advice, were in trouble.
Try this instead, ask God for advice for everything you do. For every area of your life and for every problem you may face. If you do you’ll actually activate something very, very powerful and that’s a promise from God.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me to trust You instead of always trying to figure it out on my own. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
I like a green lawn, green beans and I used to like those green milk shakes! But when it comes to your swimming pool, green ain’t cool!
My pools was as green as it gets and when my friend Mark and I started to open it I noticed something. I said, “Pretty soon this pool will be crystal clear.”
Instantly I was reminded of my past sin and how the beating of Jesus Christ made me crystal clear! White as snow, thanks to Jesus who I now know!
18 “Come now, let us reason together,”
says the LORD.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.
Isaiah 1:18 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me to realize that when you forgive me, I am forgiven! Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
Making any wise decisions today? Not if pride rises up your not.Pride is a God repellent and it’s blood in the water to Satan, in other words it’s dangerous. So don’t let the sin of pride take you for a ride, cause you may not like it’s final destination, disgrace!
When pride comes, then comes disgrace,
but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 11:2 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me about the dangers of pride, help me to walk in the power of humility instead. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
1 “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.
2Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Daniel 12:1-3 (NIV)
“First time as a lamb, second time as a lion.” Ever heard that old saying? Yes the Lord will be back and yes as a Lion. Some will have everlasting life, yet others will have everlasting shame.
Jesus and His blood can change that though. That is as long as you receive His gift, which is His death on the cross!
And still others are going to shine like the stars and for how long? Ah man, forever! Why? Read verse three again.
“Lord, teach me to prepare for Your return. Help me to make an impact with the time I have left. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
There is an old saying, “God may not show up when you want Him to, but He’s always right on time!” I am not sure what your facing today, it could be a giant and today your name doesn’t have to be David just to face one of those!
No today is a struggle even for most rocket scientists! Which by the way I am not! But God is always there when you need Him most. Was He late when Daniel was in the lions den?
Was He late when the storm took the disciples boat by surprise? Was He late when He split the Red Sea? No and He won’t be late for you either! Trust Him and He’ll do something, He’ll show up right on time!
The LORD is good,
a refuge in times of trouble.
He cares for those who trust in him,
Nahum 1:7 (NIV)
“Lord, teach how to trust You even when I am feeling Your late. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
