Have you ever tried to cheer someone up? Your there asking them, ”What’s wrong?” ”Are you OK?” “Come on it’ll be fine!” I am sure you been there, maybe on both sides.
I picturing me trying to cheer up the Lord, as if I actually had to do that. What if that was my truly my assignment, what would I say to Him?
My hands behind my back, “Are You ready Lord, I am about to give you something that is going to make You feel great, are You ready?” Out with the hands yelling, “Surprise! Here it is! What is it You ask? It’s a big old pile of Thanks!”
“Yup I am giving You thanks Lord for all that You do for me, thanks You Father, I am grateful just to know You and I am grateful for who You are and I am sure thankful for how You always, always take care of me!” ”So Lord here it is, thank You!”
Actually if God’s your Dad via His adoption plan, Jesus Christ, then that is your assignment! Fulfil your assignment and enjoy the thought of making God smile as you do!
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love
and His wonderful deeds for men,
Psalm 107:8 (NIV)
“Lord, forgive me for not being as thankful as I can be. Teach me how bless You everyday with thanksgiving! Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
