Adoption the only option!

1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Romans 8:1-2 (NLT)

Those who belong to Christ no longer fall under condemnation. “No longer” means at one point I must have been condemned. But why?

Well the bible teaches us that every person ultimately came from two people, Adam & Eve. And sin was passed on to each one of us, thanks to Mr. Adam.

The bible is so clear on this and points out that God is not out to condemn us. No because were already condemned, thanks Mr. and Mrs Adam! But instead of leaving us condemned God came up with a great plan to reverse that, it’s called adoption. (See Ephesians 1:5)

Jesus, who is God in the flesh, needed to be tempted by Satan. Just like Adam and Eve were and the rest of us. But Jesus did something nobody else ever had before, He remained sinless. Yes Satan failed to get Jesus to sin.

Now you have something for the first time in history, A tempted, yet sinless person walking on the earth. Then God condemned Him to death on a cross. And thank God because it satisfied the requirements of that law pertaining to sin and death. A sinless death was required to reverse that old law so you and I could be forgiven.

Sure Satan won the day Adam sinned, but lost the day Jesus rose from the grave! Sadly though he still wins everyday when someone rejects this truth and remains in a condemned state. But that’s not God’s plan, He would rather adopt you then lose you.

Want to really know God as a Father? This prayer will lead you to a Father and a Father to a child. You’ll soon be His and He will be yours!

“Lord, forgive me for my sin. Thank You for dying for me. Please come into my life today, I now receive You as my Lord and my Savior. Please adopt me as Your very own child! And teach me Lord how to enjoy You as a Dad from this day on!  Amen.”

Welcome to the Fam!
