Rules of engagement! (click here)

Walking daily with the Lord requires focus, no wonder Satan is after our concentration. If he can get our minds on something other than God’s will he’ll be close to making the steal! He has to get our attention first.

Last night I spoke to a group of young adults. I thought things were going well, but I had a heckler in the crowd who would often chime in. I let it go for a while and then I engaged the person sort of indirectly. After that order was restored and I continued with my message, but I wasn’t as focused as I should have been, I lost my concentration.

Looking back I am glad it happened because it was a learning experience. The enemy of our souls loves to steal our concentration! Satan always comes with an offer to engage him, but be careful because it always comes with a price!

Make sure you know the rules of engagement.  Learn to react in love and only in accordance to the word of God. And trusting the Lord every single step of the way to avoid being offended, which will bring victory and glory to God!

58Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)

“Lord, teach me how to not get sidetracked from pleasing You! Amen.”

Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
