A woman I know just lost her husband of forty years to cancer. Recently the family and I gathered in her home and talked of how wonderful of a man he was. How he loved the Lord, his wife and his family.
Some times death is one of the hardest things to deal with isn’t? We often wonder why so young, why him or her, why?
I lost both my mom and dad and I know It can be hard. But I think it would help if we saw what God sees. Like a precious flower and when it’s time to come home, He tenderly removes us like a flower right out of His garden.
And if you know Jesus Christ as your Savior then guess what? Your what the bible calls a child of God! Yup His very own adopted child and your oh so precious in His sight! (Ephesians 1:5)
That’s why the bible teaches it’s more like a celebration, because you made it! You made it pass the enemy of your soul! You’ve accepted God’s payment for your sin, Jesus! So now when that day comes He actually gets to wrap His arms around you and enjoy His adopted child for eternity!
Precious in the sight of the LORD
is the death of his saints.
Psalm 116:15 (NIV)
“Lord, teach me to trust Your plan when someone I love departs this life. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
