and relented because of his unfailing love.

Because of His love God did something and not just because of His love, but His unfailing love! The Lord relented and if you look that word up it means to change one’s mind from an upcoming harsh course of action.
God relented, changed His upcoming discipline because of their cries, because of His remembrance of His promises and because of His unfailing love.
Have you ever meet anyone that has unfailing love towards you? God truly loves you with a love that won’t quit or fail! It’s owning a car that won’t quit, it has five hundred thousand miles on it and it just won’t die! That’s God’s love for you, it’s unfailing and won’t die!
“Lord, teach me to understand more about Your unfailing love towards me. Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
