I remember the time when I told some one I prayed about what color to paint my home. Later this person told me that they couldn’t believe I would even pray about that. Actually the bible says to pray about everything and that means everything!
I am not the smartest guy around, but I know who is and that’s God! So why not pray about things like that? What an advantage it is to be able to pray, God Himself created prayer and wants us to use it for everything.
Prayer shows are dependence upon Him, it shows we respect His advice, it shows we believe all things are possible with God and it shows we understand that He alone knows all things!
You see when you begin to pray about everything you are actually bringing glory to God. Your acknowledging so many things about God all at once when you pray and that’s powerful! Besides you get to see Him answer prayer!
So come on start praying about everything! Think about this, who doesn’t want you to pray at all?
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
“Lord, teach how to glorify Your Holy name, by praying about everything! Amen.”
Ask God to teach you and you’ll always be able to say later, “God Taught Me!”
